Phillip D. Fewins has joined Charles R. Sharp, CPA LLC as a staff accountant. A native of the Chanute area, Phil was a valedictorian in the class of 1999 at Chanute High School. In December 2003 he graduated  summa cum laude with a master's degree from Pittsburg State University.
Phil is married to the former Jessie Ratliff and the son of Dave and Pam Fewins.

Chanute optometrist Dr. Martin R. Funk recently attended the 43rd annual Heart of America Contact Lens and Primary Care Congress. The event has grown to be the world's largest primary eye care conference. The educational experience covers some of the latest information on medical treatment of eye disease, including glaucoma management.

McCune-Robinson has been named an Advantage Agent for 2004 by the farmers Alliance Companies. To qualify an agent must exhibit superior professionalism and profitability over five consecutive years. Farmers alliance is represented by independent agents and serves nine Midwestern states.  Agents provide a wide range of coverage for homes, farms and commercial businesses.
