HBD names new GM
Tom Wilson has been promoted to general manager of HBD/Thermoid, Inc. in Chanute. HBD produces industrial and aviation ducting from their plant located at 201 N. Allen. Their company headquarters is in Ohio. Tom joined the company in 1975 and has had several managerial positions at that facility.
Harris Enterprises presents awards
Andrea Evans recently received several honors for her work at The Chanute Tribune. Andrea was given first place in fashion advertising and honorable mentions for advertising in hard goods, ad services and newspaper promotion. Nancy Isaac, advertising director for the Tribune, received two honorable mentions in miscellaneous advertising, and ad representative Robin Debler received an honorable mention in consumables. Other awards included: Shanna Foster-Guiot, honorable mention in news writing; John Guiot, honorable mention for sports commentary; Amy Crellin, honorable mention for best circulation promotion and newspaper promotion. The Tribune also received second place for their website www.chanute.com. The Chanute Tribune is owned by Harris Enterprises. The company owns several newspapers with circulation from 4, 400 to 33,000.
