TVDS foundation plans special event

Members of the Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation are sponsoring "A Night of Stars" Tuesday, August 9th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Madison Avenue Steaks and Chops in Iola. In addition to heavy hor d' oeuvres, and rhythm and blues music by LJ Houston Band, an auction of celebrity memorabilia will be held. Items include a Big 12 basketball signed by all coaches; autographed books and photographs by James Earl Jones, Richard Petty, Mel Brooks, John Travolta, Amy Grant, Johnny Mathis and many more celebrities. Proceeds will help the foundation build homes for individuals served by Tri-Valley Developmental Services. Cost is $20 per person in advanced, $25 at the door.
