Members in the News…Gay Barker was the winner of the annual Friend of Kansas Libraries Award. Gay was honored at the FoKL luncheon recently  held in Salina. She received a $50 cash award, (payable to the Friends group of her choice), a framed certificate and one-year membership to Friends of the Library USA. She was selected on her volunteer effort, benefit to the library and community and the commitment to library services. Gay was the first president of FOCL and stepped back in this leadership role last year to spearhead a membershp campaign. She is  currently serving as the FOCL secretary.
