Girl Scouts plan Fun Day Camp

The Girl Scout Bluestem Council has scheduled a Outdoor Fun Day Camp from 10 a.m. Friday, July 25th, to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26th, at Camp Tablemound, located at the Elk City State Park near Independence. All girls, 2nd through 6th grade, are eligible to attend. Cost is $10 per girl--and an additional $7 if not a registered Girl Scout.
This is an overnight event and the girls will be sleeping in tents. Security will be provided. Full details and confirmation will be mailed to each participant after the July 3rd registration deadline. Camie K. Russell, of Neosho County Community College, recently attended the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals 14th Annual Conference in St. Louis, Mo.

The national event included four days of workshops and networking with workforce development professionals in the fields of education, training, economic development, business, industry and government. Topics covered including labor market information, program management, customer service, diversity, career development process, job preparation skills and leadership building. Camie is an employment specialist with the CAVE at NCCC.
