Chamber Director Jodi Lucke attended two conference meetings in mid-May designed for Kansas Chamber executives. The American Chamber of Commerce Executives organization hosted a presentation by Edward J. McMillan, CPA, CAE. A resident of Maryland, Ed spoke on budgeting, financial management, fraud prevention and identity theft. Ed has spent his entire career in not-for-profit financial management and served as the controller of the national office of the Association Builders and Contractors and as the finance and membership director of the American Correctional  Association. He has authored four books and now concentrates on speaking, writing and consulting on financial management topics. He left management in 1993 when the United States Chamber of Commerce named him faculty chair of finance for their Institutes for Organization Management program. The KCCE meeting featured a "roundtable" exchange of project ideas from Chamber executive from around the state of Kansas.
