New tourism grant program offers financial assistance for projects
Applications are now available for non-profit organizations seeking financial assistance through the Chanute Tourism program. In the application the group must provide details of the event, what matching funds are invested in the project, the estimated attendance, and if overnight lodging is expected. The Tourism Board is expected to grant $5,000, or 10% of the transient tax reserve, in this first year of the program. For more information or to obtain an application, contact Jodi at 431-3350.
