Calling all Cooks…Main Street Block Party to include BBQ Cook-Off
Mark your calendar for May 6th for the first annual Main Street Chanute Community Block Party and Bar-B-Que. Organizers are looking for a "few hundred" back yard "Grill Masters" who are up for a little "home town" competition for the distinguished honor of being chosen the "Best" Back Yard Chef in Chanute! Entries can be hamburgers, hot dogs, hot links, ribs, pork loins, beef ribs, shish-k-bobs, chicken, steaks, veggies etc., or any combination for sampling. There will be an optional prize fund for those who want to compete and that will include Judge's Choice, People's Choice and Best Showmanship and Presentation. Team participation is encouraged. Sign up is necessary and you can do so by contacting Main Street Chanute office at 431-0056.
