Dr. Dwight Blackwood , of Grene Vision Group, recently attended the Kansas Optometric Continuing Education meeting in Topeka. The four-day courses covered glaucoma, diabetes, as well as various ocular surface diseases dilemmas and the oral pharmaceuticals indicate for each condition.
The Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum was featured in a great letter to the editor printed the Spring/Summer issue of Sojourns travel magazine. The letter, from John Holland, Tulsa, OK, was titled, "Surprised in Kansas" and spoke very highly of his experience of touring the museum. Sojourns magazine goes to approximately 1.2 million banking customer who are members of certain checking plans.
Dr. Cathy Mih-Taylor was recently nominated for the prestigious Rainbow Award from the Medical Students Assembly at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. The Rainbow Award is given to honor a physician who has excelled as a mentor and role model for medical students. Dr. Taylor was one of five finalists selected. Dr. Belinda Vail, Kansas City, was presented the award during the spring formal event held April 5th. Congratulations Dr. Taylor!
