The newly appointed City of Chanute Parks Advisory Board wants your input and opinion about local parks. Take a few moments and jot down the answers to the questions below and return the information to:

KSBDC available for assistance

The Kansas Small Business Development Center, Business and Technology Institute, at Pittsburg State University has announced the schedule for seminars and open counseling sessions for the fall and winter. The programs available have been designed for small-business owners and potential small business owners in Southeast Kansas. The KSBDC at PSU is part of a statewide network created to strengthen the business side of small business. The agency provides free professional counseling and low-cost seminars to small businesses to help them succeed. Any small business (generally defined as those with less than 500 employees) located or intending to locate within the service area may receive assistance. The center services the counties of Allen, Anderson, Bourbon, Chautauqua, Cherokee, Crawford, Elk, Labette, Linn, Montgomery, Neosho and Wilson.
In Chanute programs are held in the Neosho County Community College Workforce Development Center in the lower level of Chapman Library. The next open counseling is scheduled for Thursday, January 12th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
