Come out and join us in celebrating our 107th Chanute Mexican Fiesta on Saturday, September 21st!!
Events scheduled for the day are as follows:
8:30AM – Gene Brooks and his car club will be hosting a car show in the Southeast section of the Fiesta Grounds! Trophy presentation at 2:00PM.
We have asked vendors to be serving food by 12:00PM. So head out and get some great food from our awesome vendors throughout the day!! We will provide a list of vendors soon so you can map out your lunch and dinner options!!
We will have DJ Conan playing the best music throughout the day to keep the celebration going all afternoon!!
12:00PM-4:00PM – We will have Mariachi Jalisco from Wichita serenading the crowds! If you like great music and your own mini concert, you have to come down and check these guys out!
12:00PM-6:00PM – We will have VB Inflatables setup with 2 different inflatables, FREE OF CHARGE, provided by the Fiesta Committee! So be sure to let the kids burn off some energy throughout the day!
1:15PM-2:00PM – SEK Folklorico from Pittsburg will perform a set of 3 dances!!
Our program will start at 6:30PM. During this time, we will have the Procession of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The singing of both the American National Anthem as well as the Mexican National Anthem as each flag is being presented. The introduction of our 2023 Royalty followed by the introduction of our 2024 Royalty. We will then be crowning Atticus Herrera as our 2024 Fiesta Little Prince, Reina Vesta as our 2024 Fiesta Little Queen and Xavier Martinez as our 2024 Fiesta Little King Christina Henry will be crowned our 2024 Fiesta Princess and Madisyn Lopez will be crowned our 2024 Fiesta Queen.
The 107th Chanute Mexican Fiesta will honor Crespin and Maggie De La Torre and Family for their years of participation and support they have given to the Fiesta and the countless years they have spent promoting and sharing our culture and traditions.
We have a local dance group again!!! Bailadores de Chanute will perform a set of 3 dances for us!!
From 7PM-9PM we will have Grupo Folklorico Izcalli from Kansas City performing dance routines from various regions of Mexico. This group has been with us the last few years and we couldn’t be more excited to have them back! These ladies put on a great performance and bring tons of energy and excitement!
The evening program will end with El Grito de Independencia by Ricardo Vargas. If you have never had the opportunity to hear Ricardo recite El Grito, I would highly recommend you be there for it this year! He does an amazing job, full of energy and passion! The first song/dance will be a dance for our Royalty, in their honor. Then from 9PM-1AM, the band, La Revision Norteña from Topeka, will be entertaining us with great live music and an open dance floor for the rest of the evening!!

We do have vendors that only accept cash, so be sure to plan accordingly. This is an open cooler event, please plan accordingly.
