Public Notice regarding Chamber Gift Certificates (also known as Chamber Bucks)
Chamber gift certificates
purchased after January 1, 2007, do not expire until five (5) years from the date of purchase. The expiration date has shown the month and year of expiration in the past. Effective February 1, 2012, all expiration dates will be five (5) years from the month of purchase. This includes those gift certificates already purchased and those to be purchased in the future.
Example: A Chamber gift certificate purchased in October of
2010 (2/2010) would have had an expiration date on the certificate of October of 2011 (2/2011).
The gift certificate will now expire in October of 2015 (2/2015).

On March 24, the Chamber hosted a State of the City luncheon where the 2010 Partner in Progress Award was presented to Dr. Bob Harwood. Congratulations Dr. Harwood and Thank You for all you have done for Chanute.
Congratulations to the 2010 Public Square Honorees.
The Chamber’s Annual Meeting was held February 7 at Mo Gedi’s in Chanute. The honorees for the Public Square awards were announced at that time. Jay Kingery, 2010 Chamber board president, presented the awards.
Jennifer Dietsch receives the Public Square Award for Business for the Jennifer Dietsch State Farm Insurance Agency.
Brenda Krumm, with NCCC, receives the Public Square Award for Education.
Ed Cox receives the Public Square Award for Government.
Dr. Greta McFarland received the Public Square Award for Health & Human Services. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend the meeting.
