FYI from KDOT Southeast Kansas. Even if you know a back way, it is still important to follow the speed limit, no texting while driving and stay safe!K-39 UPDATE: K-39 remains closed between U.S. 75 and U.S. 169. The evening of Jan. 14, one of the columns on the K-39 bridge west of U.S. 169 was damaged in a crash. K-39 will remain closed to through traffic for approximately two months, or until reconstruction of the bridge column is complete.![]()
K-39 traffic should follow the signed state route detour on U.S. 75, K-47, and U.S. 169. For construction and closure updates use www.kandrive.org or call 511.
